Generative collages for Hashtag Ensemble, a contemporary music cooperative based in Warsaw.
The ensemble has a fixed roster, but chooses its members individually for each project. That's a challenge when you need to send a promotional picture for a given performance: the traditional group photo didn't make sense.
I prepared a tool for generating unique collages based on a given set of members, blending and fusing faces together into a single 'superorganism'. The tool allowed both for
random experiments as well as tweaking the result and pausing the animation in order to find interesting combinations.
